Cool, post it when you’re done. I was thinking of moving the setting to the Americas for either Aztecs or Mayans fighting off Europeans.

Maybe, I'm conflicted. I was going to add to my Mistress of Time blog project, but then my artist finally finished a map for a WHAT scenario book (she took so long, I would have fired her if she wasn't my granddaughter), & recently I got an idea for a story for the Writers of the Future Short Story contest.
I think I'll do the WHAT scenario book first (because I might be able to sell it to THW) & then do the short story (for a possible $500-$1,000 prize) & then Mistress of Time blog posts to meet the word count goal.
I know that like last year, it's not a novel, but it's possibly some things that might sell.

Nothing wrong with that. The only rule is hit 50k by December, and even that’s a guideline. One year, I started a fanfic but then I wrote a scenario book for Ed and just combined the word counts.

It'll be a little harder this year as I've spent far more time painting than writing.
