Big News! NUTS is the Deal of the Day tomorrow on Wargame Vault and will be only $7.50 Save even more! I'm dropping the THW site NUTS price to $7.00 through Friday!
There's a big Kickstarter coming out later this year and this is the best time to grab the rules. The campaign books are made for this NUTS book. And one more thing. There is never going to be a new NUTS. We'll just publish for free any game tweaks - NO NEW NUTS! NUTS 7 Bucks!

So the new Kickstarter doesn't include a new core Nuts!? It's just for a new wave of supplements? Because I've been assuming that there will be a new core book coming out in line as with New Beginnings and Total War.
Just nailing that down for clarity.

When rules are updated maybe 20% of the book gets changed. So, I decided the changes/optional rules will be offered for free as a PDF to the existing rules. The campaign books will be done to get them current with the current rule set. The Compendium will be adjusted as well and offered in the Kickstarter.

Let me rephrase.
Does the Kickstarter include a new core book with those rule changes integrated or does it consist of just the Compendium of the extra rules along with the additional scenarios which have been updated to the current rule set?
Not to say that I don't appreciate the idea of not having to pay for a new book to update my current Nuts, believe me. Just trying to nail down what I expect to be part of that Kickstarter. If there is a new core book, even if it has relatively minor rules changes, I'm happy to put out for it, especially if any further rules updates in the future are just going to be short errata texts. It would feel a little odd to offer a whole Kickstarter without a new core book.
I'm not sure how far into layout and organization you guys are at this point; probably a fair chunk of the way, but I would not be adverse to effectively having the Compendium turn into the main core book plus what was originally in the Compendium as a single book, probably about the thickness of New Beginnings. Then you have one stop shopping for all of the World War II mechanics in one place and it's a pretty good argument for picking up the whole package in the Kickstarter.
Just my own thoughts on the matter.

It would feel a little odd to offer a whole Kickstarter without a new core book. There will be an option to buy the current NUTS as an add on. There will be an updated Compendium. I prefer to keep the NUTS rule as is as they are extremely popular and reasonably priced. I'm not a fan of adding rules that may not be used by most of the gamers.

Hades knows that there are a lot of pricey wargames out there that don't deliver nearly as much bang for the buck. So what we're saying is that the current rulebook will be an option in the Kickstarter, but the Compendium and scenarios will have integrations with the updated rules of errata that will be released at around the same time or before. Is that an accurate statement of the plan as it currently stands?
