The Travel Encounter in the new edition of 5150: New Beginnings has a section that is confusing me (which sadly isn't hard to do). Resolving a Travel Encounter has these bullets: - If traveling in NHC, count how many areas you must travel through to get there.
- Roll 1d6 and read the result as rolled. Pass 1d6 = Travel Encounter. Pass 0d6 = No Travel Encounter.
Do you roll against your Rep or the number of areas traveling through?
My Rep 5 character is traveling through 2 areas on a motorcycle, so when I roll the 1d6, do I pass on 5 or less - or do I pass on 2 or less?
I ask because this is slightly different from the Travel Encounter in Urban Renewal.

Do you roll against your Rep or the number of areas traveling through? Yep, roll versus the Areas because...
- The number you rolled is the Area the Travel Encounter occurred, counting the Area you start in as 1.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Ed! I think I played it that way before, but just couldn't remember & got confused by the wording.
