On page 21 under Recover, the (Version 4) rules say, "The Recover Reaction Test is taken when a figure wants to recover from Duck Back (page 17). The figure must be active to take it." Is this performed at the beginning of the Active side's turn or at the end, i.e., after all firing?

At the beginning when next active as they've already done something when active. So, I'm active and fire. Miss and get shot at. I duck back. I'm done. Next time I'm active I recover from duck back - that's all.
