Hello...just finishing up the rulebook Warrior Heroes-To Be King and I was thinking...the pile of A Song of Ice and Fire Miniatures I have on 4x3 trays might work well for this ruleset as they are. The cavalry units are 2x2 on a square tray. Thinking as units take damage I could simply track the Steps by pulling a miniature out of the back row and place it behind the tray facing backwards like the soldier was getting ready to bolt. Front facing will even match up nicely (or close enough) to my Oathmark and OnePageRules armies. The CMON minis look pretty nice painted up (though too uniform in poses) but they should work well on my 6x4 foot table if I just double all the ranges for shooting, movement, spells, terror etc.
What do you folks think? Has anyone been doing this? Do you have any suggestions to keep close to the character of game with heroic size 28 to 32mm figures? I don't have many 15 to 20mm miniatures but plenty of larger historical and fantasy ones.
Thanks in advance for suggestions.

I have two very large 28mm Valkae Amazon armies. The old Warrior Heroes Armies & Adventures had minis based on 1-inch-wide bases, so when Rally Round the King came out, I put Litko flex steel on the bottom of the mini's base & created a thin base 3-inches-wide with a sheet magnet. This worked well for my characters & models that I also wanted to use for other games. Eventually, for the rank & file, I just glued the minis to the 3-inch-wide base. Below is a picture of a base with my general & a base of elite warriors behind her, You can see more of the basing in the post, Battle for the Southern Pass
