Just a poll asking what you use to play your THW games.

I answered minis - but since I build stories with the games, I also have a legal pad for taking notes, 3x5 cards with each character's stats, & my iPhone camera handy. And sometimes an optional adult beverage! But I'm a miniature addict for sure.

I sometimes use counters and minis, but lately I prefer Tabletop Simulator for the ease of cleanup, so I voted "computer driven."

Mostly a mix of pen/paper and computer driven for me, although I hope to have the chance to do some stuff with minis over the Christmas.

Most of the time, I use either dice (with the numbers for Reps), or cheap plastic figures, since I prefer to spend my money on the games themselves.

I think that using minis is the ideal, but the battle boards and counters can make it a lot easier to get gaming

I voted for other, although I've used the counters that are included in either the THW board game or with the THW rules. Mostly I'll use dice with the rep face up, and I'll also add a second differently-colored die to represent the target number. I also have some 3/4" round wooden circles that I've affixed stickers to. I have sets in 9 different colors, and they have numbers on them. They are particularly excellent when I play on a battle mat.
Edit: Ah, recently I was playing After the Horsemen, and I used both dice as described as well as figures from Memoir 44.

Primarily minis or my travel setup, though I use dice, chits, or pencil marks on an index card/scrap paper in a pinch. My travel gaming set uses magnetic pawns in various colors, that stick to the battle-boards I've scaled down and backed with magnetic sheeting. They all fit in a hip bag, along with my tablet and keyboard.

I'm old school - I only play with minis, mainly because I have a few thousand minis

I'm trending more towards playing on the computer since it's more convenient to get a game going. In order to do this I use the included counters and battle boards. Without the counters I would have to hunt around the internet to find images.

Don’t have to gather figures and you know everyone’s Rep. Plus if you use different colors, you know who’s on which side.

Minis and use the Computer to track and generate stuff. But I ticked minis as that would always be my preference and have them lying around so use them over counters.

I discovered counters not too long ago and now I use nothing but. With limited space and time, they are a nice substitute for miniatures that fit nice and snug into a storage box. Plus, you can make counters out of just about anything on the web!

(So far...) to me, 2HW rules are still a way to play with toy soldiers. I answered minis - but since I build stories with the games, I also have a legal pad for taking notes, 3x5 cards with each character's stats, & my iPhone camera handy. And sometimes an optional adult beverage! But I'm a miniature addict for sure. Someting like that too. Then the notes are converted in digital format in Tiddly Wiki and graphs in Inkscape... This being said, like AtomicFloozy, I'm also a blogger, that interact a lot digitally with other gamers/hobbyists.
The lessons, methods, procedures... I get from this might get me to go full "pen & paper" one day, for everything that is not directly minis on tabletop/battleboard.
