These are great plans. You’ve obviously put a lot of effort into them. Thanks. Thanks! I really enjoying doing that, it's a good practice for using my drawing app. OK, my wife is away for a week so watching ST:TNG and drawing some Zhoh-Zhoh ships. Two destroyers for today and one missile boat still in the works ETA tomorrow, hopefully. After that I am considering two options: making small ships for other races, or, because I intend to play Gaea Prime vs Zhuh-Zhuh campaign, making some bigger ships. But in case of bigger ships I am not sure how big they should be? Technically each class, according to Fighter Command is 4 times as big, but after some test runs I discovered that big maps can make the game tedious, 6 sectors actually provide a very tight game with a right amount of challenge. So maybe 12 for medium ships and 18 for big ones? Any suggestions? Attachments:

Coming soon - 6 Battle Board spaceship. This looks nice! Is it six separate boards that can be arranged in any way? And a small suggestion/request, if I may. Some more objects on a board would help to depict cover the marines can use. At least with my test plays it was aesthetically more pleasing (despite the fact I was using wooden cubes instead of miniatures) to see characters scatter a little bit to adjust to the layout of the battlefield.

There looks to be enough objects on the boards, don't want to clutter them, anyway when playing on battle boards, cover is already abstracted. Most people make their own covering terrain or buy it from various sources.

A really good source of Starship Terrain comes from Mantic Games. I use it for when I want to add terrain to my starship battle board I use. Starship Terrain

I will take the individual battle boards of the spaceship and add more down the center. So instead of 2 for a small ship (Class 4) going to 3 (Class 3) then 4 (Class 2) with two extra engines sections and finally 5 (Class 1) with two engine sections. As the ships are for boarding actions I'll never see them side by side.

Yes, can be arranged in any way. Not adding more clutter as then you will be moving figures or counters around and its more of a "what section are we in?" game. I do have a sculptor that is making clutter for a space ship. Just trying to get him to offer the final stuff at a reasonable price.

But yeah, my impression that here less is more. Another point for not increasing map size too much is that each additional sector my marines must pass through adds to the difficulty of a mission, but maybe that could be mitigated by how sectors are connected. Well... some more testing is needed

And as promised the last small ship for Zhoh-Zhoh taskforce. I think I will make a few civilian/free company ships now while I am considering what to do with bigger ships. Attachments:
